Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 772,182 on Tuesday with 1,423 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 731,000 with 2,072 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,879 with 21 more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 15,034 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 11,111 were PCR tests while 3,923 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,980,832 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 254 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1677.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 30,303.

Currently, there are 258 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

In the same time frame, 364 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 89 and 66 cases respectively.

Globally, over 222 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.5 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 198 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
