KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 816,060 on Thursday with 301 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 797,059 with 279 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,466 with six more fatalities.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,535 against 7,519 a day before.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 12,653 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,609 were PCR tests while 3,044 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,484,154 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 16 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 317.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 110 cases in the country. Lalitpur is second in line with 36 cases while Kaski has 20 cases today.

So far, a total of 16,237,671 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 8,752,561 have received the first dose while only 7,485,110 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.

Globally, over 252 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 5 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 228 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
