KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 14
Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 816,966 on Sunday with 291 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 798,274 with 348 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,477 with six more fatalities.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,215 against 7,278 a day before.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 9,606 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 8,008 were PCR tests while 1,598 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,506,521 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 15 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 306.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 76 cases in the country. Morang is second in line with 41 cases while Lalitpur has 29 cases today.
So far, a total of 16,381,988 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 8,828,428 have received the first dose while only 7,553,560 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 253 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 5.1 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 229 million people have recovered while more than 19 million cases are still active.
