KATHMANDU, MAY 13

Ek-Ek Paila (EEP), a group of volunteers that provide free health services to remote rural areas, has launched a remote health consultation programme for people that do not have easy access to the same during Covid-19 lockdown.

Service seekers can reach out to health professionals associated with the initiative in case they cannot avail health care facilities during the pandemic.

Under the initiative, patients (general and Covid-19 positive) can reach the doctors of Ek Ek Paila and talk to them directly about their health issues.

The service hours have been designated from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm wherein the doctors can be reached directly via phone from 7:00- 9:00 am.

From 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, as the doctors will be working, people have been requested to contact them via text medium, or call them in case of emergency. Again, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, the doctors will directly receive services seekers' calls.

The doctors will be available remotely on Social networking mediums such as WhatsApp, Viber, SMS to advise the patients on time other than when they have to engage in emergency services.
