KATHMANDU, JANUARY 25

Prime Minister Sushila Karki conferred degrees upon students from various faculties of Nepal Open University during its first convocation ceremony, held today.

At the event organized by the University, 545 students from the faculties of Science, Humanities, Education, Management, and Law graduated. Of them, 191 graduates attended the ceremony.

Prime Minister Karki, who also serves as the Chancellor of the University, presented the Chancellor's Medal to the top-performing students at the Bachelor's and Master's levels.

Renowned educationist and former Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, Kedar Bhakta Mathema, attended the programme as the chief guest.

Established in 2073 BS, Nepal Open University is currently offering Bachelor's, Master's, MPhil, and PhD programmes.
