Kathmandu:
The set is ready. Competition is tightening. Thirty contestants who have already written their names in the list of third round of competition are waiting eagerly to welcome 10 more to join them. Samsung Nepali Tara — a hunt for the singing star — will take 40 contestants to third round of competition as 10 more will be selected today. Samsung Nepali Tara, a popular show in Nepal Television aired every Saturday, is produced by Neel Barahi Films. Annapurna Post is the official media for the show.
Sanjib Parajuli, one of the contestants to enter into third round of competition shares, “The experience has been overwhelming. I am glad to reach up to this stage and I am doing my best, let’s see what happens next.” Parajuli, an amateur singer thinks that the show definitely has given him a wide exposure. “I am learning classical music and trying to improve. I know next round will be tougher and everyone is in full form and they are no doubt good singers. One who excels and outdoes others will only be able to win the coveted title.”
The third round of the competition will have duet round informs Brazesh Khanal of Studio 4. “But the judgement will be done on the basis of individual performance. Good solo performers might sometime stumble while singing a duet. We don’t want to leave any stone unturned to come up with a versatile singer while we will wrap up the show. The duet round will give an insight to the judges about the comfort level and compatibility of a singer while singing with others,” adds Khanal.
While until the second round of competition, singers were given the songs to practice and sing, in the third level of competition, singers will have an opportunity to sing a song of their own choice. “But it is going to be more interesting as more musical instruments will be added, while earlier participants were singing in the tunes of piano,” adds Khanal.
For live telecast of AFC President’s Cup Finals, the telecast of the show has been preponed to 6:30 pm.
