Allen pulls out of another show

LONDON: Lily Allen's ongoing throat problem has prompted her to axe her second performance this month (Dec09).

The Smile hitmaker cancelled her slot at the Jingle Bell Ball in London on 5 December (09) after doctors ordered her to rest.

The 24 year old has been battling bouts of both laryngitis and bronchitis for the last two months - and she pulled out of a planned U.K. TV appearance on Monday (14Dec09) because of a sore throat.

Allen had been scheduled to sing on the annual BBC Top Of The Pops festive special, but cancelled a few hours before the show, according to Britain's The Sun.

The star has just a handful of live gigs remaining before March (10), when she embarks on a planned two-year hiatus from making music.
