KATHMANDU, August 19

Dibesh Pokhrel, known by his stage name Arthur Gunn, has arrived in Nepal from the US for 'Tuborg Homecoming Arthur Gunn' - a month-long musical tour across the nation.

Pokhrel, who landed in Kathmandu on August 17, will be performing in eight different cities of the country as part of this tour, it was informed during a press meet held in the Capital on August 18.

The first performance will be at Club Platinum, Thamel on August 20, shared the runner-up of the American singing reality show American Idol 2020.

Along with Kathmandu, Gunn will also be performing in Chitwan, Butwal, Pokhara, Birtamode, Kirtipur and Dharan among other cities.

"The musical tour is a result of four months of planning for people who listen to my songs and support me," shared Gunn.

The US-based Nepali singer said he hasn't explored many cities in Nepal and hoped that "it will also be a great experience for me performing in the eight cities of Nepal".

He shared that the tour also aims to promote tourism in Nepal. "Many tourists come to Nepal and explore its beautiful landscapes, culture as well as Nepali language. I think the musical concerts in Nepal are a great way to promote the Nepali language and music."

Risan Maharjan, Founder of Brainservicing that is organising the tour in collaboration with Tuborg and MN Entertainment, further explained, "The aim of this tour is to promote culture, music, and tourism in Nepal. ... We aim to show the world how beautiful our Nepal is."

He also revealed that a documentary will also be made about Gunn's musical tour.

"The documentary will feature the experiences of people who will be attending the concerts and will also capture the landscape and beauty of different cities of Nepal," Gunn informed.

Gunn will perform songs from his two albums - Grahan and Khoj - during the tour. Both English and Nepali numbers will be performed.

The singer also revealed that he will perform a concert in Australia in December.
