Book launch: Neath the pipal tree
KATHMANDU:
Nepal-Britain Society on October 26 held here a programme to welcome the new British ambassador to Nepal, Dr Andrew Hall and his wife Cathy. Speaking on the occasion, society president Pratima Pande wished the British couple a successful tour of duty in Nepal.
At the same function Dr Hall released a novel entitled A Place Beneath the Pipal Tree authored by Greta Rana. The ambassador also presented on behalf of the society cheques for Rs 15,000 each to New Life Disabled Centre of Baneswore and Bhadrakali Mandir of Malekhu and books worth Rs 50,000 to the Fine Arts Department of Kathmandu University.
