Ekadeshma calls for entries

KATHMANDU: Ekadeshma International Short Film festival is back. As per a press release issued by the festival, the fourth edition of the Festival is scheduled to be held from November 11 to 13 at QFX Kumari Cinemas.

If you are a short film filmmaker, you can be a part of the festival as it is calling for entries.

You can submit your short films with a run-time of 30 minutes or less — fiction, documentaries, experimental and animation, adds the release. The deadline for the submission is October 15.

The criteria for the submission are — it should be made after 2014 and it needs to be a Nepal premiere.

After the submission, the accepted films will be categorised under ‘Films in Competition’ and ‘Non-Competitive films’. The films which go to competition category will be awarded a trophy and a cash prize.

Ekadeshma is a pioneering film festival in Nepal that showcases short films from around the world.

It has showcased over 140 films from more than 60 countries around the world till now while creating an environment of access to medium of cinema by connecting filmmakers with the audiences and future collaborators.
