KATHMANDU:

The City witnessed encounters of a different kind on May 30. The encounters are the latest musical evenings to hit town — Classic Encounter, a Surya Classic event. Surya Classic is one of Nepal’s premiumbrands.

The first encounter kicked off simultaneously on May 30 at Liquid Lounge with Looza, and at Moksh with Stupa.

Looza played to a group of around 100 and started their performance at 8:00 pm. The crowd enjoyed the music of which was mostly blues and instrumental. At Moksh Stupa played to around 80 people. They played mostly jazz and funk and the select crowd loved it.

The next Classic Encounter is scheduled for June 2 — with Anil Shahi at Absolute Bar, Pulchowk, and Cadenza at Upstairs, Lazimpat. (Entry is by invitation only) — HNS
