LOS ANGELES: Singer Ariana Grande has taken a dig at a body shamer, who called her a “stick” online, and compared her to actress Ariel Winter.

The American singer took to Instagram and Twitter on November 2, to post a screenshot of her online post, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Got asked if I prefer @arielwinter1 (Winter) or @ArianaGrande, lol, it would (sic) DEFINITELY be @arielwinter1 curves are sexy sticks aren’t. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way today! In case you need a reminder, you’re beautiful. It’s a beautiful day to be yourself,” Grande wrote. “Diversity is sexy. Loving yourself is sexy. You know what is NOT sexy? Misogyny, objectifying, labeling, comparing and body shaming. “Talking about people’s body’s (sic) as if they’re on display ASKING for approval/opinion. THEY ARE NOT! CELEBRATE YOURSELF. CELEBRATE OTHERS. The things that make us different from one another make us BEAUTIFUL. BODY BOUNDARIES. LOVE LOVE LOVE ONLY,” she said.

Winter expressed her support to Grande by reposting the image on Instagram. She captioned it, “Thank you @arianagrande for posting this. I love the message you’re putting out there.

“I especially believe in today’s world we all need to stick together — I believe in EMPOWERING other women and not putting them down.”
