No one can resist the rich dark chocolate that melts in the mouth. And if you think otherwise, here’s what John Q Tullius has to say: “Nine out of 10 people like chocolate. The tenth person always lies.”
Chocolate almost always tops the list of indulgences, and when we think of something sinful, it’s gorging on a box of delicious chocolate. And Soaltee Crowne Plaza welcomes you to this sinful chocolatey paradise with their variety of chocolate cookies, cakes, pastries and chocolate praline available at their Pastry shop (can be ordered from other outlets too) from March 22-31.
According to Executive Chef Rajeev Shrivastava, “Chocolates are universal. There isn’t anyone who doesn’t like chocolate. We are trying to do focus on the best in chocolates, and instead of making various delicacies, we are focussing on some but the best of all products.”
Using pure and unsweetened chocolate, they will be preparing all the chocolatey goodie s in the hotel itself, the pralines prepared here are not moulded but hand-made.
If you like something light yet deliciously creamy, go for the Philadelphia Chocolate Chess Board, which has a chocolate base with whipped cheese cream layer topped with strawberry. Just heavenly.
If creamy pastry is not your choice, then the Lamington Square can be your perfect pick. Made of soft, moist sponge, covered with a thin layer of chocolate dusted with coconut powder, it is just right for your taste.
How about adding something naughty to your sinful chocolate journey? The Paradise Ring is white chocolate mousse prepared with a hint of kahlua to give the mischievous zing.
Among the pralines, sink your teeth into Chocolate Cinnamon Ball prepared with white chocolate and almond paste with a dash of cinnamon for flavour, or munch on the choco-nuts, which are dry nuts covered in milk chocolate.
