Jackman wants to play ‘Croc hunter’ Irwin
LONDON: The next role Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman really wants to play is that of “crocodile hunter” Steve Irwin.
The 46-year-old Australian actor and Irwin, who died in 2006, were good friends, reported Digital Spy.
“I would definitely consider that. I knew Steve, and Steve was an amazing, amazing man. I mean, everybody loved him but I had a relationship behind the camera with him, just a brief one, but that interaction really, really touched me,” Jackman said.
Irwin’s daughter Bindi has already given her nod to the Wolverine star playing the role of her father in the biopic, calling him, “loved, dependable and internationally renowned”.
Nicknamed ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin died after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb.
