WASHINGTON: Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has been nabbed by Calvin Klein to represent the fashion giant’s new fragrance. The 19-year-old stunner, who has won acclaim and awards for her roles in ‘Lost In Translation’ and ‘Girl With A Pearl Earring’, will be the face of the new campaign in print and television commercials in the autumn.

According to a report, Kim Vernon of Calvin Klein’s advertising and marketing division has praised Scarlett’s exotic beauty, blend of sophistication, confidence and sense of humour.

The blonde New York native gushed excitedly, “Just when I thought things couldn’t get better, something like this happens.”

And, it seems that the ‘Bafta’ award-winning actress, Scarlett Johansson prefers European men to her fellow Americans because she feels that American men are very “ungentlemanly” and crude.

The 19-year-old is all praise for Europeans after spending lots of time for film shoots recently in Italy and England, according to rate the music. Johansson explains, “In New York guys will go, ‘Hey, nice pair of t**s!’ and you’re like, ‘F*** you!’ You feel violated. In New York you will get catcalls, but in Rome a guy will say, ‘You’re such a beautiful girl, where are you from?’ which is so much more romantic.”
