KATHMANDU, AUGUST 26
Nepathya, Nepal's renowned folk-rock band, captivated audiences with a mesmerizing performance at the sold-out Toyota Music Factory in Dallas during their US Tour 2024.
In a press statement, Nepathya noted that a record number of attendees graced the band's performance on Saturday evening.
In keeping with their policy of precise punctuality, Nepathya commenced their performance exactly at 8:30 PM. Their folk-rock harmonies resonated for two hours, with the expansive audience in the grand hall swaying rhythmically to the music, akin to a rolling wave.
The concert showcased a blend of new compositions such as "Koshi Ko Pani Yo Jindagani," "Shirphool Shirai Ma," "Nainital," and "Pachasai Barsama," alongside Nepathya's enduring classics like "Chekyo Chekyo," "Jomsom Bazzar," "Resham," and "Taal Ko Pani."
Throughout the event, lead vocalist Amrit Gurung was met with resounding support as the audience engaged in spirited sing-alongs. The fervor of the crowd lingered well after the performance concluded, a testament to the evening's electrifying atmosphere, as stated in the statement.
"What an impeccably executed and awe-inspiring performance," remarked Jimmy Nicoladis, the hall's production manager. "The fervor of the audience was so profound that I am truly honored to have participated in this event. I had not anticipated the grandeur of a Nepali artist's performance, nor did I foresee such a refined and exemplary audience," as stated.
At the concert, lead vocalist Amrit was accompanied by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboard.
Following the triumphant completion of their first four American concerts including Colorado, Ohio, Nepathya is set to return to New York for their fifth performance.
The band will take the stage at Terminal 5 on 56th Street in Manhattan on August 30, marking their first appearance in the city in eight years. With a capacity of 3,000, Terminal 5 will host Nepathya's debut at this venue. The band is committed to delivering another memorable evening for New York's Nepali audience, reads the statement.
After their New York concert, Nepathya will head to Maryland and wrap up their tour in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, marking the end of their year's performances.
