KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 10

Nepal's famous folk-rock band, Nepathya, concluded its maiden Canada tour with a captivating performance at the historic Massey Hall in Toronto.

With this performance, Nepathya joins the ranks of world-renowned bands that have had the privilege of performing at this historic venue in North America.

In a statement, Nepalaya, the band's management company, said that the band had reached Toronto after successful performances in Calgary and Vancouver.

As the clock struck 7:00 pm, Nepathya commenced the highly anticipated full-house show at the historic Massey Hall with the music video for 'Sa Karnali.' Embracing the warmth and love of the audience, the band kicked off the much-awaited show with one of their hit songs titled 'Koshi Ko Pani Yo Zindagani.'

In between the musical performances, Nepathya's lead singer, Amrit Gurung, who is also a social activist, interacted with the audience.

Maintaining his customary practice of engaging with the audience during musical performances, Gurung said, "No matter how far Nepalis spread around the world, our common home is Nepal." He urged the audience to utilize the skills and capital they have acquired in foreign countries for the purpose of rebuilding Nepal.

Singer Gurung also emphasized the need for unity among Nepalis residing abroad and warned against forces attempting to create division in Nepal. "Whoever wants to create divisions based on caste, creed, and religion, we need to respond to them with unity."

The band entertained the audience with a mix of old and new songs, and the audience swayed and sang along with Amrit Gurung, Nepathya's vocalist.

By the time the concert had reached its end, Nepathya fans were singing and dancing along with Amrit Gurung. The concert concluded with the band performing 'Rato Ra Chandra Surya.'

As usual, Amrit was supported by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on Keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niraj Gurung on guitars, and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.

After successful tour of Canada, the 14-member entourage will return home on October 12.
