KATHMANDU, JULY 13

Within a span of three months, Nepathya, Nepal's premier folk-rock band that recently captivated audiences in Australia and the United States, is set to return to the iconic Wembley Arena in the UK after a twelve-year hiatus.

In a statement released today, Nepalaya, the band's management company, said, "The band will enthrall audiences with a fusion of classic and contemporary folk-rock melodies at the historic venue on August 9." Nepathya last performed at Wembley Arena on August 3, 2013.

Reflecting on that landmark performance, lead vocalist Amrit Gurung shared, "Our audiences have always shown us immense love. But after performing at Wembley felt like we had reached an entirely new height."

"Nepathya's upcoming performance is set to mark a milestone in the history of Nepali music in the UK," said Dipendra Lama of the local organizing team. "With over 7,000 tickets already sold and a surge in inquiries, the overwhelming anticipation highlights the concert's historic significance," the statement added.

A 14-member team will travel from Nepal for the UK tour, comprising six band members and eight technical and management staff. On stage, frontman Amrit Gurung will be joined by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.

Online ticketing for the Wembley Arena concert is available through Nepathya's official website, www.nepathya.com.np, according to the statement.

This year's concert is being coordinated by UK-based BSK Entertainment and Parcha Production.
