KATHMANDU, APRIL 7

Ahead of the dawn of Bikram Samvat 2081, Nepathya is slated to grace Birtamode, situated in the eastern reaches of Nepal, with their melodic presence.

In a press statement, the band remarked that Birtamode, once a bustling commercial hub, underwent a transformative shift with the establishment of the Mahendra Rajmarg, subsequently relocating its core activity to the outskirts. Over time, the essence of the bazaar shifted within its confines, culminating in the birth of "Birtamode."

As Birtamode burgeoned with rapid urbanization and increased traffic, Nepathya played a pivotal role in addressing transportation issues through their musical endeavors. Five years ago, the band took to the stage to advocate for road safety amidst escalating accidents fueled by heightened traffic in the area, read the statement.

Previously, Nepathya's tunes resonated under the banner of the "Sundar Shant Nepal" campaign during a transitional period when Birtamode was known as "Anaramni Gaun". Presently, aligning with Birtamode's developmental trajectory, Nepathya lends its support to the city's premier sports event, the 'Jhapa Gold Cup'.

Expressing anticipation for the forthcoming concert, Nepathya's frontman and founder, Amrit Gurung, affirms the significance of the local audience, hailing their steadfast support. Emerging from the hiatus enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic, the prospect of reconnecting with their audience in a town like Birtamode fills Gurung with excitement.

As fans eagerly await the event, preparations are underway under the stewardship of local organizer Rajwanshi Rangshala. The concert, scheduled to commence promptly at 5:30 PM on Friday, will witness the opening of venue gates two hours prior, at 3:30 PM, according to the statement.

Tickets for the Birtamode concert are priced at one thousand rupees, with sales facilitated by local management, Everest Events, through physical counters and an online booking system. Interested patrons can conveniently secure their tickets through Nepathya's official website.

Amrit Gurung will be joined on stage by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.
