KATHMANDU, JUNE 16

Following a month-long series of concerts in six cities across the United States, Nepal's premier folk-rock band, Nepathya, concluded its tour with a grand performance in Greensboro on Saturday.

In a statement today, Nepalaya, the band's management company said, "with this performance, a month long USA Tour 2025 has come to an end and will return home this week."

The band kicked off the show on time and captivated the audiences with their mixture of old and new folk-rock melodies at the packed house Piedmont Hall.

Between songs, singer Amrit's brief yet poignant remarks proved just as compelling as the music itself. His words resonated deeply with the audience-an emotional connection clearly mirrored in their thunderous applause and expressive faces.

After performing Yo Jindagani, Amrit delivered a stirring appeal: "Set aside at least one day's earnings each month to support the education of a child from your own village-someone who has yet to glimpse the light of learning but who, with your small act of kindness, might one day serve the nation," reads the statement.

The hall erupted in enthusiastic cheers. Undeterred, Amrit pressed on with equal fervor: "Those with wealth tend to hoard it; those with heart choose to give." The audience responded with even greater zeal, visibly moved by his message.

Adding greater depth to his message, Amrit recounted the plight of many Nepalis who, after migrating abroad, have been compelled to return home under difficult circumstances.

"If destiny forces one to leave or be uprooted," he said, "it is ultimately the embrace of the Himalayas that awaits our return. If a child knows even their mother tongue, they remain tethered to their roots. And should they one day come back-remembering the land of their ancestors-they will not feel estranged from their own soil." according to the statement.

With this final performance, Nepathya has concluded its seventh tour of the United States.

This year's month-long concert series took the band across six cities-Austin, Seattle, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Boston-before culminating in Greensboro.

According to the statement, the 14-member team, comprising artists, managers, and technical crew, is set to return to Nepal later this week, having successfully wrapped up the tour.
