Radcliffe’s $4.9m second home

LONDON:

Daniel Radcliffe has splashed out $4.9 million on another New York apartment. The Harry Potter actor, who already owns a two-bedroom $4.3 million Manhattan home, has now purchased a three-bedroom property in the cosmopolitan city.

Radcliffe , who has an estimated $6 million fortune, will live in the apartment when he starts his Broadway run in Equus in September.

The 2,450-square-foot property faces the Hudson River and boasts a stunning view of New York Harbour.

Last year, the 18-year-old actor paid $4.3 million for a New York penthouse located on the fifth floor of a 13 storey block in Manhattan’s exclusive SoHo district.

Radcliffe planned to rent out the property, which has access to a swimming pool, sauna and steam room, for $20,000 per month.

Meanwhile, Radcliffe was stunned after he was received a manly kiss when he accepted a theatre award. The star was collecting his accolade from Whatsonstage for his part in the West End production of Equus, in which he appears naked, when a fellow actor smooched Daniel on the lips.

Daniel surprised the audience by returning the lingering kiss.
