EPS foundation day marked
The English Preparatory School (EPS) celebrated its 40th Foundation Day and the birthday of its founder-principal NK Singh at Nepal Academy Hall on September 18. The programme started at 12:30pm with the new national anthem followed by marvellous performances by the students. The performances included songs and dances — both folk and modern. The SLC batch of 2063 BS was also felicitated on that day. It was really a lot of fun for everyone, especially the students of Class X as it was the last programme of our school life.

Laughter riot
It was a day of laughter on September 25 at the VS Glorious English Medium School (VS GEMS) as the school’s funniest boys took part in the ‘The Greatest Laughter Challenge - 2064’. All the participants had the judges and the students, who had gathered in the school hall, laugh and cheer for them. This was an inter-house competition for the juniors and seniors. There were two categories in the contest — solo and couples. In the senior solo category, Kaushal Gyawali of Red house, Para Dahal of Green house, Mahesh Bhatt of Blue house stood first, second and third respectively. In the senior couples competition, Sriram Dhakal and Prabin Shrestha of Green house were declared the winners. In the junior
solo category, Naman Narayan Dhungana of Green house was declared the winner and
in the junior couple category Binu Dahal and Bisnu Timalsina of Green house were
announced the winners. Kaushal Gyawali was also declared the ‘Greatest Laughter Performer’ of the school.

Teachers perform for kids
The Future Stars High School celebrated the Children’s Day. This was an enjoyable and memorable for students as we got a chance to see our senior and junior teachers perform on stage. It was very entertaining to watch the performances. The performance in the song Chali chali from the Bollywood film Baghban was very enjoyable, and so was the one performed by our junior teachers Jamuna and Kabita maams and others. Our senior teacher Gita maam also gave a performance exactly like that of a concert singing remixed versions of old songs. She also sang a Nepali song translating it into English.
