SCHOOL TIMES : My brother, my hero

He was truly the most wonderful big brother any one in this world could ever have. He brought a lot of happiness in my life. He made my life meaningful, fun and a lot more interesting. Being with him was one of the best moments of my life. He used to make me laugh a lot. There were times when he made me cry by teasing me. Though I got irritated, I cherish remembering those times now. It really brings a smile to my face.

He suffered from paralysis. He couldn’t walk, move his hands or body. But he was so strong, so brave that he left us all in awe. He was really very smart. Though he just went to school till Class I, he was very intelligent. He watched channels like Discovery, National Geography, BBC, CNN, and gained a lot of knowledge.

He had this amazing character that attracted everyone. Every person who knew him was fond of him. He taught me to smile no matter how much pain I was in. I learnt many things from him that have helped me get through many the painful times of my life.

It brings tears to my eyes to remember him today. He is my role model. To grow up and be like him is my dream.

I cannot believe I had such a brother. I must have done a really good deed in my previous life to have had him as my brother. It gives me great pride to say that I am Avinash’s sister.

He is no longer with us, but I will always remember him. I want to tell him — wherever you are, I want you to know that I miss you. You’re the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me, and I love you.
