Show time: Variety of stories

KATHMANU:

This weekend you will have a grand opportunity to enjoy two fabulous movies in offer. Enjoy your time out of hectic schedules of weekdays watching movies by some of the best directors in Bollywood. One is Khoya Khoya Chand (KKC) by critic-acclaimed parallel film director Shudhir Mishra. Based in the Hindi cinema’s golden era of the 50’s, KKC is about rebellious young writer Zafar Ali Naqvi (Shiney Ahuja) and beautiful young actor Nikhat Bano (Soha Ali Khan). Their story is set against the compelling magnetism of the world of cinema where feisty studio-owners, fashionable divas, scandalous stories, beautiful and ugly individuals and the tantalising lure of stardom take over their feelings, thoughts and desires. Powered by strong ambitions, their story tells of the difficult and heartbreaking choices they make. KKC is a story of a volatile love that the two main characters can neither live with nor live without. They were destined to meet but are they meant to be together?

Another release this week is the much-awaited project Dus Kahaniyaan, which has all together ten different short stories by six directors and 25 actors. The stories deal with the issues of love, faith, betrayal, passion, mystery, secrets and destiny. The film stars both seasoned actors like Nasserudin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Nana Patekar, Amrita Singh, Sanjay Dutt and Manoj Bajpai and new generation ones like Dino Morea, Minisha Lamba, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, among others. The film promises a thrill to grip you, something White Feather Production usually boasts of in its movies.
