Solar system’s giant

The planet Jupiter is the giant of our solar system.

It is the biggest planet in the solar system and is different from other planets.

Jupiter is not solid like other planets, but is a big ball of liquid with an iron core. Jupiter has a gigantic spot on its surface called the Red Spot.

This spot is almost three times bigger than our Earth. It is like an enormous hurricane that has been whirling in Jupiter’s atmosphere for hundreds of years.

Jupiter is also a very big magnet, much more powerful than the magnet of the Earth. This planet also has auroras near its poles.

Jupiter is about 778 million kilometres away from the sun. A year on Jupiter is almost as long as 12 years on Earth, but a Jupiter’s day is only 10 Earth hours long.
