Ningbo University is one of the prestigious universities in Zhejiang province, China. A comprehensive university with a wide range of disciplines — law, education, liberal arts, history, science, engineering, agronomy, medicine and management — it focuses on the education of undergraduate students leading to their baccalaureates and also enrolls postgraduate students leading to Master’s Degrees. The university consists of 18 colleges and faculties and offer 50 bachelor’s programmes and 9 master’s programmes. The University also has 30 scientific research establishments, which undertake hundreds of research projects and consultation services in the fields of science, technology, economy and law. International College of Ningbo University was established in1999. It has developed joint-educational programmes with educational institutions in other countries and enrolled international students.

Since then, it has accepted hundreds of overseas students and scholars coming from America, Japan, UK, Canada, Australia, Norway, French and elsewhere to study Chinese, to travel and conduct research. Since the establishment in 1986, Ningbo University has accepted hundreds of international students from over 15 countries. Courses: Chinese Language and Culture Degree Course aims to equip international students with a sound Chinese language competence. Students who gain full credits may obtain the Chinese Bachelor degree. The undergraduate programmess for BA/BS degrees are fairly diverse and include International Economy and Trade Finance, Accounting, Information Management and Information System, Computer Science and Technology, Automation Electronic Information Science and Technology, Clinical Medicine, Aquaculture Food Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automation Industrial Design, The Science of Law, Politics and Administration, Navigation Technology, Turbine Engineering and Physical Education. Similarly, there are 27 Graduate Programmes for the Master’s Degree. Application procedures: Anyone who wishes to study at NBU should fill out the International Students’ Enrollment Application Form and send the application form two months before entrance together with supporting documents and the registration fees of US dollars 20 to the International College, NBU. Get registered at Ningbo University within the required time, handing in all the required fees, and settling all the entrance procedures. Regular term class’s duration is from February 15­July 5 and September 1st - January 15. Short-term class can be held any time of the year.

Accommodation: The university offers accommodation facilities to international students at a cost of US dollars five for each student per day for a double room with a telephone, an air-conditioner, a colour TV, a toilet and Internet facilites. Students’ apartment shared by two people comes at an affordable US dollar three for each student per day for a room with a telephone, air-conditioner, a toilet, Internet, colour TV and public gymnasium.
