Suffering from cricket fever
Recently, an epidemic had spread throughout the world. Yes, you guessed it right — the ICC World Cup Cricket fever.
The effects were much visible in Nepal too. Many people were stuck to television throughout the night, and I was not an exception. I knew it would hamper my studies, but I could not refrain myself from watching the matches.
I did not miss even a single match of my favourite team — Australia. My happiness knew no bounds when Australia won the trophy. Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting, Glenn McGrath and everyone else were wonderful. However, one of my favourite Australian bowlers, Brett Lee, was not able to show his magnificent performance. And that we will not be seeing McGrath in the next World Cup has dampened my spirits.
The mysterious death of Pakistani coach Bob Woolmer and the shameful performance of India and Pakistan in the World Cup was a shock for all cricket fans.
Nevertheless, the World Cup Cricket was fun and just as expected.
