It was a kind of deja vu. The first day of Changa Chait 2062 was delayed by a light shower. And the grand finale on October 8 was also a cloudy affair.

This year’s winner, the boss, beat defending champion Himalayan Snax and Noodles Pvt Ltd to become the year’s kite flying champions. But as the clouds had conspired with the gods that be, it was almost impossible to see the kites in the skies. So, the boss was crowned this year’s changa boss through mandali. The third place was also decided by mandali and Marcopolo Travels’ thread held strong for this position. Changa Chait 2062 was held under the theme ‘One sky, One world - Fly for Peace’ at Club Himalaya. Nagarkot. The event was managed by Malta International. Apart from the thrill of flying kites, the crowd had Nima Rumba and the Legend Band performing live, food stalls and face painting, among others.

The first prize is a two-way Kathmandu-Malaysia air ticket for two sponsored by Air Nepal International and a Truly Malaysia package sponsored by Macropolo; the second is again two-way Kathmandu-Delhi air ticket for two given by RNAC, and stay two-days/three nights stay at Hyatt Regency; the third prize is also two way Kathmandu-Pokhara air ticket for two from Yeti Airlines an a two-nights/one day stay at Tek-O-Trek.
