Hitler returns to Berlin

BERLIN: A life-size wax figure of Adolf Hitler has gone on display in Berlin in what museum officials say is the first such public exhibition of the Nazi dictator.

Hitler shares a room at the Galerie Art’el museum with his World War II adversaries Joseph Stalin, Franklin D Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.

Asteroid’s close call with Earth

SAN DIEGO, California: As far as flying space rocks go, it’s as close an encounter as mankind has ever had. A 100-foot diameter asteroid was supposed to pass within 43,000 kilometres of Earth on Thursday, the closest-ever brush on record by a space rock, NASA astronomers said.

“It’s a guaranteed miss,” astronomer Paul Chodas, of the near-Earth object office at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, said.
