The weather is likely to be cloudy across the country today, with chances of rainfall in certain areas, according to the Metereological Forecast Division (MFD).
As per the MFD, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in koshi and madesh provinces along with the hilly regions of the country. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy weather condition which will persist through the night as well.
Similarly, there is a also chance of light rain or thunder and lightning in few places of Koshi Province and oneor two places of Madesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and continue to the night with the exception of Madesh province.
Over the last 24 hours, Janakpur recorded the highest rainfall at 26.5 mm, followed by Biratnagar with 22.7 mm. Pokhara received 12.3 mm of rainfall, while Taplejung and Dhankuta saw 9.9 mm and 9.7 mm respectively.
Moreover, the MFD forecasts the possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
The country is presently under the influence of westerly winds and local wind patterns.
