MAKAWANPUR, JULY 2

The Hetauda-Bhaise road section of the Tribhuvan Highway has been disrupted due to incessant rainfall since last night.

According to District Police Office, Makawanpur, the flood at Bagjhora of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-1 has disrupted the traffic along the Hetauda-Bhaise route.

The flood has led to the deposition of debris like pebbles, sand and big rocks on the route and preparations are underway to clear off the debris and resume the traffic, the office said.

Similarly, the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Kathmandu route had remained closed since Thursday due to a massive landslide triggered by monsoon rains at Gadhi of Bhimphedi-6.

The heavy rain has also hampered efforts to restore traffic movement.

Likewise, vehicular movement on Kanti Highway has been disrupted due to a landslide that occurred at Gangate of Bhimphedi- 8 on Thursday, the District Police Office said.
