BHAKTAPUR: One person died and two others were injured when a motorbike hit pedestrians at Chyamasingh in Bhaktapur on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Rupesh Thapa (21) of Nala-2 in Kavre.

Thapa, who was hit by the motorbike (Ba 47 Pa 5811) last night, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Madhyapur Hospital at Thimi in Bhaktapur, according to Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.

Similarly, the injured have been identified as pedestrian Bindu Tamang (23) of Kavre and a pillion rider sabin Khelata (19) of Bhaktapur, informed SP Kiran Bajracharya.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Police have arrested biker Nishan Haiju (19) of Bhaktapur Municipality-2 and impounded his vehicle for further investigation, police said.
