ANNFSU’s national convention in February

CPN-UML-aligned All Nepal National Free Students Union is all set to hold its 22nd national convention from February 10 to 12, 2016.
President of ANNFSU, Kishor Bikram Malla, today said the central committee meeting held recently had decided to hold the national convention in February, 2016. He said the meeting also decided to create four posts of vice-presidents and seven posts of secretary in the union through the upcoming convention by amending the current provisions. Currently, there are three vice presidents and five secretaries.
“While there are seven federal states in the country, we would need seven secretaries to execute various responsibilities and tasks in each federal states,” he said, adding that the union had formed various committees and sub-committees to successfully conduct the convention. Earlier, the student union was scheduled to hold its national convention in Ashwin (September/October), but postponed it due to the April 25 earthquake and subsequent aftershocks.
