The deceased has been identified as 19-month-old Sabin, son of Debendra Budha of Hyang-8 in Rolpa district, who works at a brick kiln in the area.

The incident occurred when a mini-truck (Ba 2 Kha 1378) hit the child while loading mud at the brick kiln in Aarubari of Changunarayan Municipality-8 in the district, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasain of Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.

The police have impounded the vehicle and taken the driver of the mini-truck, Gokul Bhujel (26) of Dhulikhel-11 in Kavrepalanchok, under police custody for further investigation.
