KATHMANDU: At least 23 persons were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Pikhel in Changunarayan of Bhaktapur on Tuesday.

According to the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, the accident occurred when the passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 6817) skidded off the road and fell some 150 metres down.

Police said that there were 35 persons on board the bus when the incident occurred at around 4:45 pm.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Bhaktapur Hospital and Madhyapur Hospital.

The reason behind the accident is yet to be known.
