BHAKTAPUR: Twenty-three students were injured when a school bus met with an accident this morning.

The bus belonging to Paragon English Boarding School, Kamal Binayak, fell some five metres down the road while fetching the students from Sudal VDC.

Pushpa Chandra Ranjit, SP, Metropolitan Police Sector, Bhaktapur said, "Of the 23 injured, three have been sent to B&B hospital for treatment."

According to the hospital sources, injured Milan Sakha, Nilam Timilsina and Bibek Dahal have already been discharged after treatment.

Police have detained Krishna Prasad Dulal, the bus driver, for investigation.

According to the eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the driver tried to save a woman who was crossing the road.
