Kathmandu, May 30:

Nepalis who were denied US visas despite winning the Diversity Visa lottery are all set to move the US and international courts to seek justice. “Considering the human rights violations concerning visa denial despite winning DV lotteries, we intend to knock the US court and international courts for justice,” said Rajendra Bastakoti, coordinator of DV Victims’ Association, at a press conference here today. “We paid $435 each at the US embassy as visa fees,” said Bastakoti. Pointing out that over 150 Nepalis have been affected by the visa denial, he said denial of the same by the embassy despite completing the entire process is a violation of human rights.
