Kathmandu, July 4:

Air Nepal International is planning to begin its international operation this month, for which it has already signed an aircraft leasing deal with an airline in Thailand. The officials of the Civil Aviation Authorities of Nepal (CAAN) are expected to fly to Thailand shortly to inspect the Boeing 757. Once CAAN clears the Boeing deal and the airplane lands at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Air Nepal International (ANI) hopes to begin its scheduled flights on July 21. “The airline will initially fly three times a week to Dubai, Doha and Bangkok and twice a week to Kuala Lumpur and we will expand our operation to other international sectors later,” said Pradip Pandey, chief executive officer. The airline will bring in Boeing 757 of 300 series with a seat capacity of 245 to Nepal.
