APF yoga training session ends
Kathmandu, April 7:
Youth Training Programme conducted jointly by the Armed Police Force Family Women Association (APFFWA) and the APF Human Resources Department for APF personnel and their family members concluded yesterday.
Kalpana Thapa, president of the APFFWA, handed over letters of appreciation to yoga teacher Dr Nilakkshi Mahesh Kukin and participants of the classes, a press release issued by the APF headquarters said.
Additional Inspector General of APF Rabiraj Thapa, who is chief of the APF Human Resources Department, said yoga is necessary for a healthy life.
“Yoga is very necessary to keep the mind and body healthy,” he said. He also suggested making yoga a daily habit. Yoga trainer Dr Kukin said, “The stronger and healthier the security personnel, the stronger the nation,” she said, adding that yoga would help them to be healthier and stronger.
A total of 25 AFP personnel and their family members took part in the 15-day training session, the release added.
