KATHMANDU: A Bangladeshi man was arrested in possession of one kilogram of undeclared gold from the Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu on Saturday.

The market prize of the seized gold is Rs 4.141 million in Kathmandu.

Identified as Shahid Khan (32), holding the passport number BC 0436449, the man landed at the TIA from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia on a Malaysian Air flight before he was arrested.

Police said the man had hidden 10 pieces of the precious yellow metal, weighing 100 gram each, in his clothes.

Further investigation is underway.
