BHAKTAPUR: A man died on Saturday after allegedly being beaten by his son at Purano Thimi of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-8 in the district.

The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Shree Krishna Prajapati, a local.

Prajapati had an altercation with his 35-year-old son, Krishna Kumar, at their house and sustained severe injuries on the head.

Injured Prajapati was immediately rushed to the Korea-Nepal Friendship Hospital in Bhaktapur for treatment. He was then referred to the Thimi-based Madhyapur Hospital and again to the National Trauma Centre, Bir Hospital in Kathmandu.

Prajapati died while undergoing treatment, informed DSP Shyam Babu Oliya of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi.

Police have arrested the alleged son for further investigation.
