Big III reinvite agitating forces for talks, ongoing CA process to be postponed for two days

KATHMANDU: Inviting the agitating forces again for talks, the three major parties on Friday have decided to postpone the ongoing process of constitution drafting for two days.

A meeting of the top leaders of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist decided to defer the purported voting on the clauses of Revised Bill of new constitution, scheduled to begin today, till Sunday.

Withholding the purported voting process at the Constituent Assembly, the three-party meeting has urged the parties that left the Constituent Assembly to come for the talks, UCPN-Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai tweeted.

After the completion of clause-wise discussion on the Revised Bill, the CA was preparing to initiate the voting process this afternoon with an intent to deliver the constitution by September 17.

The CA continued the discussion at the time the top leaders were meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar.
