KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 17

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

Ambassador Song is returning home after completing his tenure. During the meeting, matters relating to various dimensions of Nepal–China relations, as well as issues of bilateral interest, were discussed, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Stating that China has been extending support to all aspects of Nepal's development endeavours as a close friend, Ambassador Song said that such assistance would continue in the future.

Prime Minister Karki congratulated the ambassador on the successful completion of his term and wished him a safe and pleasant journey home.

She reaffirmed Nepal's commitment to the One-China policy, assuring that Nepal would not allow its territory to be used against China.

Prime Minister Karki also expressed hope that Nepal would continue to receive support, assistance and cooperation from China, as it has in the past, in its development efforts.
