Bill on remuneration of CMs, governors in offing

The government today decided to fix the remuneration and facilities for chief ministers and governors of federal units.
Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai said the Cabinet meeting today decided to give consent for the formulation of bill regarding remuneration and other facilities to CMs and governors of the provinces.
Minister Rai said the government also decided to appoint former secretary Madhav Poudel as the chairman of Nepal Law Commission and to promote Ramananda Prasad Yadav to the post of secretary.
The Cabinet meeting decided to provide Rs 200 million in grant to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences to buy necessary medical equipment.
Government Spokesperson Rai said the meeting also decided to promote 10 lieutenant colonels of the Nepali Army to the post of Colonel and to transfer 16 colonels to different units.
