KATHMANDU: A group of unidentified people shot and injured one Kamal Singh at Kharibot of Baneshwor on Saturday evening. According to the police, the 31-year-old Singh, who hails from Kanchanpur, is presently living at Kharibot and was on his way to the Cross Manpower Company to claim some shares there. Singh sustained a bullet injury in his throat and is under treatment at Bir Hsopital, police said. — HNS

Police found the body on the bank of a stream. Though there are no marks of wounds on the body, it seems that the woman, who is yet to be identified, was murdered, police said. — HNS

Kathmandu: Deputy Inspector General of Police Dipak Singh Thangden posted at the Valley Police Office, (VPO) Ranipokhari administered the oath of office and secrecy to all the senior police officials working in the Valley at a function organised in the Valley Police Office Ranipokhari on Saturday. The Valley Police Office said that oath of office and secrecy was administered to the police officials as per the recent House of Representatives (HoR) declaration. Administering the oath to all senior police officials, Thangden directed them to discharge their duties according to the spirit of Jana Andolan-II. — HNS
