British MPs in capital

KATHMANDU: International Development Committee (IDC) of the British Parliament arrived here today on a four-day visit. The nine-member delegation is headed by MP Malcolm Bruce, IDC chairperson.

Talking to mediapersons at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Bruce said they would meet political leaders, ministers and civil society leaders.

“Our delegation will monitor the progress of the Department for International Development which has assisted Nepal for many areas in areas such as security sector reform, peace process, poverty reduction and social inclusion,” he added.
