KATHMANDU: The National Books and Stationary Entrepreneurs' Federation has called on the government to celebrate the day of Saraswati Puja or Shree Panchami as the National Book Day.

The Federation has been observing this day as the National Book Day on its own initiation for the past three days and has demanded the government officially recognise the day.

Federation General Secretary Nawanidhi said the celebration of the National Book Day from the state level would help promote the reading culture among the people.
