Changunarayan Municipality to build hotel with view tower at Batasedanda

BHAKTAPUR: The Changunarayan Municipality is to construct a modern luxury hotel with a view tower targeting domestic and foreign tourists.

Mayor Som Mishra made this announcement while addressing a news conference in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur district on Tuesday. He said that the hotel would be constructed in Batasedanda of Nagarkot. Mayor Mishra added that it would be a 10 storied facility topped with a view tower.

The hotel that is estimated to cost a total of Rs 1.53 billion will house four elevators, luxury rooms and a revolving restaurant on the 10th floor. It is said that eight highest mountains can be seen from the view tower of the hotel which would be a world-class.

The construction of the hotel will start from this year as per the public-private partnership concept.

The hotel would also have a cultural museum, shopping centre, sculptures and handicraft arcade, meeting hall, fitness centre, luxury room, swimming pool, among other facilities.

It will occupy a total 150,000 square feet area and the hotel main structure will cover 14,500 square feet area.
