Kathmandu, March 27

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority today slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on Sajha Yatayat Chairman Kanak Mani Dixit and 27 employees, including some board members, for failing to submit their property details for the fiscal 2071/72.

Among the board members who were penalised for failing to submit property details are Shankar Raj Joshi, Bandana Thapa, Bhushan Tuladhar and Rudra Prasad Paudel. Others are the employees of Sajha Yatayat, including Manohar Ji Rauniyar, Laxmi Ratna Bajracharya and Madhav Raj Ghimire, who work in the accounts section of Sajha Yatayat.

CIAA Spokesperson Krishna Hari Pushkar said, the anti-graft body slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on the 27 employees on the recommendation of National Vigilance Centre.

The anti-graft body also wrote to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to take action against these people if they had not submitted the property details for previous years as well.

Pushkar said the government had more than 70 per cent stake in Sajha Yatayat and hence the employees and board members of the body were required to submit their property details every year.
