CJ plea to lawyers

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Chief Justice Anup Raj Sharma on Thursday urged the lawyers to make the judiciary a clean and competent institution. “The judiciary alone can do nothing. The help of the bar is crucial to maintain its independence and competence,” he said. Speaking at a programme organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association to welcome him and bid farewell to retiring CJ Min Bahadur Rayamajhi he said it was impossible to make the judiciary competent and independent without the help of lawyers.
